The MASTANI Cape is hand-made from 100% Silk Organza with "Shibori" Tie Dye technique in Sherbet. The silhouette features a high collar secured with buttons at the back of the neck, with fabric floating across the shoulders and chest, decorated with ornate hand-smocking. This stunning accessory is the perfect layering piece over a MASTANI Silk Slip Dress.

Mottled, pebble-like textures (almost resembling a reptile skin) are transposed onto sheer silk organzas in a vibrant orange derived from madder root pigment. Our partner dyeing artisans have experimented with Japanese “Shibori” techniques using all-natural dye pigments. Silk panels are wrapped around poles, with ties and clamps used as resists to create unique print effects.

Each tie-dye garment has a unique pattern due to the individual printing process and will have subtle variations from the one shown.
